When conceptualizing this entry earlier in the week I was going to celebrate the fact that club football would now be uninterrupted for the next four months. To top it off, we are welcomed back to the domestic scene with three clashes featuring teams with attacking mindsets taking on each other - Manchester City vs Chelsea, Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad and Atalanta vs Juventus. I am still looking forward to those three games in particular. However, events at Tottenham in midweek have left me in a bit of a daze. Hence, unsurprisingly West Ham vs Spurs — which I must say is an entertaining game anyways — now takes top billing. The “changed” Mourinho takes his new team to West Ham where Manuel Pellegrini is under increasing pressure. The “Old” Mourinho never hesitated for a second before insulting the Chilean veteran on various occassions. Will the “new” Mourinho relish delivering the coup de grâce for the Hammers boss?
